CONVOCATION OF THE 80TH SESSION OF THE INTERNATIONAL LABOUR CONFERENCE

Dear Sir,
I have pleasure in informing you that, in accordance with the decision taken by the Governing Body of the International Labour Office at its 251st Session (Geneva, November 1991), the 80th Session of the International Labour Conference will open in Geneva, at the Palais des Nations, on Wednesday, 2 June 1993. The opening will be preceded by official meetings of the groups on Tuesday, 1 June, in the afternoon.
I enclose a Memorandum which sets out the agenda of the session (section A), together with detailed information thereon and on the procedure which the Conference will follow in dealing with it (section B). The Memorandum contains, in addition, all necessary information concerning the organization of the Conference. I should in particular like to draw your attention to the following points.
Reports prepared for the Conference
The reports prepared by the International Labour Office as a basis for the discussion of the agenda will be sent to you as far in advance of the session as possible. I am confident that your Government will ensure that the reports are in the hands of delegates in time to enable them to prepare themselves adequately for the work of the Conference.
