Training Council are given in the answer to Article 1 of Question II. Policies and programmes of vocational training are formulated and implemented by the Vocational
the Vocational Training Council. Membership of the council includes employers, workers, educationalists, persons with a special interest in training, and representatives of relevant government departments. In addition, membership of the various training boards includes representatives from relevant trade unions and employers' associations as well as representatives from the universities and education institutions.
The Vocational Training Council is a statutory body responsible for the provision of technical education and industrial training in Hong Kong and it does not deal with questions of vocational guidance. However, staff of the council may provide guidance to students and school leavers on opportunities for training and technical education. Vocational guidance is generally provided by the Careers Advisory Service of the Labour Department and the Careers and Guidance Services Section of the Education Department.
