Students in the two universities, the two polytechnics and certain post-secondary colleges can approach their student counselling sections for such guidance. Careers. Advisory Service (CAS). of the Labour Department provides a comprehensive careers advisory service through a planned programme of careers guidance

activities to help young people choose a career best suited to their abilities and interests. Apart from giving careers talks on choosing a career, job interview techniques and employment as well as training opportunities to secondary school students, the CAS also organises careers-oriented activities such as careers exhibition, careers quiz, work orientation programme and other special careers projects. To complement careers services for young people, the CAS further organises annually a training course and a seminar for careers teachers in collaboration with the Education Department.

publications are distributed free of charge to schools, youth centres or interested persons. Other careers information materials are available free to members of the public at the four careers information centres of
the CAS. Each centre is equipped with a reference library and an audio-visual unit providing a variety of careers information. Arrangements are made for secondary school students to visit the centres in groups. A free loan service of careers education videos and slide presentations is also available to secondary schools and youth organisations.
