This convention is applied to Hong Kong with modification in respect of Article 9 by an improved declaration registered by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) on 21 July 1983. Details of the modification are set out in the answer to Article 9.

QUESTION I

Subject to the modification registered with the ILO in respect of Article 9, the provisions of this convention are applied by the Employees' Compensation Ordinance, Chapter 282, and subsidiary legislation made. thereunder.

By resolution of the Legislative Council on 2 December 1987, the compensation levels under the Employees' Compensation Ordinance were revised with effect from 1 January 1988 as follows :
