With regard to (b), we are not able to confirm from information available to us when reporting under the ICESCR is next due, in view of the new reporting cycle adopted by the Economic and Social Council by resolution in 1988. Can you advise on this, please?

Question (c) is rather more tricky. reason to believe that Christine Loh may follow up with supplementaries on whether non-governmental organisations will be consulted about Hong Kong's report. NGOs have not been SO involved in previous exercises and we hope not to change this practice. It would be useful, however, to know whether it is the practice of the UK Government to consult NGOs in the preparation of reports to the UN under the relevant covenants and conventions.
