Follow-up to Lord Howe's Report on Human Rights in China
The Secretary of State has looked again at your submission of 20 July. He has no objection in principle to the idea of inviting a senior Chinese delegation to visit the UK. He believes the invitation should issue at a lower levet than the Prime Minister. Before issuing the invitation, we should also ensure that the Northern Ireland Office and the Home Office are content. I should be grateful if you would pursue this.
