Visit by Hong Kong Government officials to China on Social Welfare and Rehabilitation
Thank you for your confirmation that you have no difficulties with our proposal that a Hong Kong Government delegation visit China in February and March for a study tour on "Social Welfare and Rehabilitation".
The visit will be led by Ms Jacqueline Willis, Secretary for Deputy
Health and Welfare. She will be accompanied by eight other civil servants. They will be drawn from the Rehabilitation Division of the Health and Welfare Branch, the Social Welfare Department, the
Grade, Executive Officer Branch and the Chinese Language
Department,
Constitutional Affairs
Education
Division.

Our preference is for the visit to take place from 23 February to 4 March. This would be broken down into a visit to Beijing from 23 to 28 February and to Shanghai from 1 to 4 March.
The
objective of the programme is to study social welfare and rehabilitation. With this in mind we would
like
to suggest a number of items that could be included in These are set out in the note attached to
