1. I have spoken to Protocol Department. They accept that HMG should pay for YS's air fare. Could you please either book it yourselves and seek the money from the BTC, or ask the BTC to arrange the flights. They should debit the cost to subhead A1 (1) (U) (1).
2. UKMIS New York have been asked to make reservations for Ms Chui at the Beekman Hotel (which is where Christopher Hum will be staying). I should be grateful if they could charge the cost to the same subhead. I should be grateful if you could inform UKMis of her flight details and if you could liaise direct with them about how Ms Chui will receive an advance copy of the Secretary of State's briefing for this meeting so that she can prepare for it.
