SECURITY COUNCIL MEETING AT FOREIGN MINISTER LEVEL: PROPOSED
BILATERAL WITH THE CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTER
1.
On the assumption that the meeting of the Security Council at Foreign Minister level firms up for 21 May, and that the Chinese Foreign Minister attends, I would like to take the
opportunity to hold a bilateral with Qian.
2.
It is improbable that there will be time for a substantial bilateral in the course of 21 May. The best option from my point of view would therefore be a bilateral on the
evening of 20 May, preferably from 1830 to 2000. If this was
possible for Qian, I would arrive on Concorde at 1750 that afternoon, and would need to helicopter into Manhattan (on the
Lines of the arrangements made for my bilateral with Qian on 25
September last year).
