Quantity of major materials

Generally speaking, Revised Option No. 1 will be in need of larger quantities of raw timber, steel, cement, etc. than Revised Option No. 2. For the Phase 1 construction work, some 30000 cu.m. of raw timber, 110000 tonnes of steel and 450000 tonnes of cement will be required.

PROJECT FINANCING

As mentioned in the above paragraph, the total construction cost (including the Hong Kong section) for Revised Option No. 1 is 9.65 b ¥. If the loan interest is excluded, this amount will be reduced to 8.21 b ¥. of this reduced amount, 50% will come from domestic and foreign investment in China at a loan interest of 10% per annum, and 20% will be raised through the issuing of shares and bonds also at a loan interest of 10% per annum. The remaining 30% plus the loan interest of the above 2 items will be financed by the Zhuhai municipality itself.
