TRANSLATION OF DIPLOMATIC NOTE NO 4/420/20/97 DATED 14/3/1414
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
presents its warmest compliments to the Embassy of the United
Kingdom in Riyadh.
The Ministry would like to inform the Embassy that the
Representative of the Saudi Airline "Saudia" in Hong Kong, Mr Tam
Wing Kun, finds that he is experiencing some difficulties in the
performance of his duties at Hong Kong Airport where the Hong Kong
Authorities refuse him permission to enter the Reception Area for
VIPS arriving in Hong Kong on Saudia flights.
The Ministry, therefore, hopes that the esteemed Embassy will do
the necessary by writing to the appropriate authorities in Hong
Kong in order to grant the above mentioned (official) permanent
authority to enter the Airport, as do his counterparts representing
other airlines operating there, for the purpose referred to
above. The Embassy is requested to supply us with a photocopy of
the action taken in this respect.
The Ministry takes this opportunity to express to the esteemed
Embassy its warmest greetings.
