Further to our recent conversation, I attach a copy of a fax I have received from the Government Secretariat in Hong Hong regarding the Compendium database.
As you will see there are some doubts expressed as to the effectiveness of the transfer of data and as recommended in the penultimate paragraph I suggest we wait until March to see whether or not the problem can be sorted out.
I trust you will agree with this approach. I have asked the Secretariat to let me know as soon as they have any further information.
