We have repeatedly said that we are prepared to discuss the 1995 elections with the Chinese side without preconditions. The Chinese Foreign Minister and I have not yet arranged the

next in our series of six-monthly meetings. I want to be sure that such a meeting would be useful, and it is a little too

soon to be able to judge that now.
