When in Peking last week I asked Jiang Enzhu at a meal
he gave for us whether Chinese Ministries could own
or invest
in companies. He said emphatically that they could do
neither. I think he understood what I was referring to.

Even though we have not had a reply from NCNA, this seems to me to add weight to the press reports that the HKMAO
have now withdrawn their investment from New China Hong Kong
Limited.
