Douglas Hurd has twisted the facts in describing HK as a political city.
The description of HK as a political city. by both Douglas Hurd and Governor Chris Patten has caused concern about Britain's sincerity in implementing the JD. The "political city" remarks are in fact an attempt to bring international political forces into HK affairs and to interfere with the "one country, two system" concept.
The politicisation of the HK question will bring damage to HK's stability and prosperity.
