Presenter: We've just heard that report, I don't know if you have beard that report. a forthcoming documentary Britain revealing the extent to which MI6 has, among other things, infiltrated HK's business community. You are the representative of the
GenCham, what is your reaction?
McGregor: Sounds very dramatic. I am not, you know, the 40
years I have been here, I have never cose across any suggestion that there have been agents of MI6 or working within the business community. I have no doubt that there was a lot of information here which is of help to MI6 or to any other agencies around the world and that working through consulates and so on that people have come to HK and have obtained information in one form or another. No doubt that's the case and probably incidentally a good many of the official agencies might be available for tapping of information and definitely
legitimately. But I will be interested to read what has been released on this particular MI6 context. I doubt very much, if for example, there are companies set up simply with that in mind.
