General sense of morale at the moment (in HK) anxiety,
confidence?
Hong Kong a resilient and mature community. Obviously there is disappointment that we were unable to reach agreement with
China, even on the relatively straightforward electoral issues.
But, struck by the mature, self-confident response to recent
unhelpful Chinese statements.
People know that the fundamentals
are right for long-term prosperity. Hong Kong faces the future
with realism and confidence.
