I wrote to you on 23 June following your letter of 14 June regarding the CBI scholarship programme for Hong Kong.
I hope to have a meeting next week with Tom Buchanan and Professor John Hearn to start preparing a short list of possible candidates for CBI scholarships. But first I would

like to receive a read-out of the meeting which was held in London on 25 June. You will see from my letter of 23 June that the British Council, like ourselves, is keen to see this scheme continue in Hong Kong and are prepared to meet the costs of the Hong Kong/London airfare from their own local budget if the CBI
This agreed to meet the cost of the London/Hong Kong airfare. matter at least was, I hope, raised at the 25 June meeting?
