Thank you for your letter of 2 December about the SK Tang Bequest. It is good to know that it is now being considered by Counsel.
I am writing to inform you that I my successor, Ms Ros Moore will be joining this department later this month and will be handling this matter in the future. Before I depart, I would like to be able to give her an up-to-date account of where we stand. We would like, if at all possible to make arrangements for this bequest before the end of the current financial year. As you know, our Under-Secretary takes a keen interest in this matter and I should be grateful for your opinion on whether this is likely to be feasible.
