SCHOLARSHIPS SCHEME FOR OVERSEAS STUDENTS.
FCO conditions for the BC's operation of a scholarships
scheme using proceeds from the SK
Tang Bequest.
OBJECTIVES
To provide opportunities for post graduate study in the United Kingdom for overseas students from [Hong Kong? etc?]
with the potential to become future leaders, decision makers and opinion formers in the political, diplomatic,
commercial and allied fields.
CONDITIONS
(i)
Awards tenable at a UK university will normally be
for a maximum of 12 months and for study at postgraduate
level on taught courses leading to Masters degrees. In
exceptional cases where the candidate's status merits this,
an award for a three year PhD may be considered.
(ii) Awards will be available in the following general
study areas:- economics, law, management, project planning,
international relations, diplomacy, education, urban
planning, media studies, finance, banking, accountancy,
business administration, environmental studies, political
science, social sciences.
(iii) The awards will be open to nationals resident in the following countries:-
