JOINT FUNDING SCHEME 1994/95
You will be aware that it has been agreed that the Joint Funding Scheme for Hong Kong students in the UK will be phased out by 1996/97, commencing from 1994/95.
For the coming financial year we have allocated a sum of £1,600,000 as our contribution to this scheme. If there is the slightest indication that this sum may be inadequate it would be appreciated if you could let me know at the earliest possible opportunity. It is unlikely that any additional funds would be available but it would be preferable to have all the latest information on needs to hand in case the unexpected happens.
