As promised I attach a copy of my minute to Ms Sharp dated 27 September regarding the removal of Hong Kong from the DAC list, and a copy of the press release issued following the High Level Meeting held on 13-14 December which includes a copy of the new DAC List.
Hong Kong will progress to Part II of the DAC List in 1996, as will all other countries included in the World Bank's high income category which has been set as the threshold for progression.
