central bank in order to help establish its independent identity,
and that the Bank was keen to continue co-operation in terms of
technical assistance and secondments. He added that the Bank also
had good relations with both the Bank of China and the People's
Bank and that he had a great regard for the abilities of
Deputy Governor Chen Yuan.
