Senators Evans (Foreign Minister) and Cook (Trade Minister) as well as Mr Keating. On the Opposition side, he will probably wish to see the Leader of the Opposition (Dr Hewson), the Shadow Foreign Minister (Mr Peacock), and the Leader of the National Party and Shadow Minister for Energy and Resources (Mr Fischer). Although Parliament will not be sitting, Mr Patten might also see the Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade (and former Labor Party Federal President, Senator Loosley (Sydney-based and influential).

In Canberra, the National Gallery and National Library are listed (and worth-while). The Australian War Memorial (gallery, museum and shrine) is moving and provides useful insights.

Byrne (Director of Trade Promotion) and Blunt (First Secretary Chancery) will be lunching with the Director of the Sydney HKTDO (visiting Canberra) on 7 December. Are there any particular points you or Hong Kong would wish us to feed in to Messrs Chan and Chow?
