GOVERNOR'S VISIT TO LONDON, 30 JUNE-2 JULY
1.
The Secretary of State would like to have a private talk with the Governor at some stage during this visit. It looks as if the best time for this would be in the afternoon of Wednesday, 30 June, during the slot that has been set aside for a meeting with Mr Goodlad, from 16.15 to 17.00pm. This means that the Governor will not see Mr Goodlad before his formal meeting with the Secretary of State at 09.30 on the Thursday morning apart, possibly, from the short meeting with Mr Goodlad and Lady Chalker, to which our Telno 612 refers. However he will be seeing Mr Goodlad for lunch Later that day.
