VISIT TO LONDON BY LEGISLATIVE COUNCILLOR, MR HOWARD YOUNG
1. Mr Young, member of the Liberal Party and representative
of the Tourism Functional Constituency, will be visiting
London next week. He has asked to see Mr Goodlad, Mr Hum
and Mr Ricketts on either Monday 25 October or Tuesday 26
October. Neither Mr Hum nor Mr Ricketts will be in the
Office on those days, but I understand there is some free
space in Mr Goodlad's diary on the Monday afternoon.
2. I recommend that Mr Goodlad should agree to see Mr
Young. The call need not be a long one. Mr Young has good
contacts with the Chinese and it might be worth hearing what
he has to say.
3.
A member of the Department would be happy to sit in if
the Minister wished.
