Mr John Swaine, who has now been elected as the President of the Legislative Council, formally approached the Speaker of the Papua New Guinea Parliament as host of the next conference of Commonwealth Speakers and Presiding Officers for attendence at the Conference and the request was accepted. I attach for information copies of the exchanges between Mr John Swaine and the Speaker of the Papua New Guinea Parliament.
