CDC: QUESTIONNAIRE TO POSTS
CDC currently operates in 48 countries. We received replies
(though not to all questions) to our questionnaire in respect of
44 of them. As might be expected the responses expressed
considerable diversity of views, reflecting such factors as the
size of CDC's
CDC's programme the length of time they had been
investing in each country, and the economic and political
circumstances obtaining there.
Question 1
Do you judge CDC investments to have been successful in
terms of contributing to economic development?
Posts replied positively in all but a few instances.
In
one or two cases they thought it was too early to say; in
only one reply was CDC judged to have maintained a poor
quality programme.
Question 2
Are there ways in which you believe CDC could improve their
effectiveness?
