COMPOSITION OF THE 1995 LEGCO: AMENDMENTS TO THE LETTERS PATENT AND ROYAL INSTRUCTIONS

As you know, the Privy Council made the above instruments to amend the Letters Patent and Royal Instructions on 30 April. Hong Kong have now asked us to confirm this date and also whether the venue at which the additional instructions were made (I think they in fact mean the amendments to the Letters Patent) was at "Our Court at St James's". A copy of their letter is attached. I intend replying that the amendments were made on 30 April and that they were indeed made at "Our Court at
St James's", although it is not customary to state this in the amendment to the Letters Patent. Grateful for your confirmation that this is correct.
