DRAFT LETTERS PATENT AND ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

I have made arrangements for the point made by Hong Kong to be reflected in the draft Letters Patent (deletion of "the" before "appointed day").

1.

2.

I have also spotted an inconsistency. The draft Letters Patent, Article 4 (1) should be changed to read:

"4. (1) Article VII (2) of the principal Letters Patent is revoked and replaced by the following new paragraph 2:-"

This change makes draft Clause 4(1) consistent with draft Clause 3 (1).

3.

Finally, for greater clarity in the draft Additional Instructions, Clause 1(4)(a)(iii) should read "Clause 4 (a) which amends Clause XIX (1) of the principal Instructions;"; and Clause 1(4) (a) (iv) should read "Clause 5(a) which amends Clause XXI (1) of the principal Instructions;".

4.

up.

I attach copies of the two drafts with the changes marked

Please fax them to Hong Kong.

Shelagh Brooks.
