Re-printing of Colonial Requlations
refer to your letter of 16.2.93 on the updating of Colonial Regulations for re-printing.
I agree that there is no need to revise 54(3). According to my records, besides the addition of in December 1992, we have to update CR 57 and CR 66 as detailed below :

(a)
In
July 1977, the Secretary of State agreed to add a sub paragraph (3) under CR 57 as follows :
"57(3)
Where an officer is absent from duty without leave for a period exceeding 21 days and it is reported to the Governor that
(a)
(b)
the officer cannot be traced; or
on being required by notice in writing (sent to an address or addresses through which it may be reasonably expected to reach him) to give, within the period specified in the notice, an excuse for his absence, the officer has failed to give any excuse or to give an excuse that is acceptable,
the Governor may dispense with an investigation under paragraph (1) and summarily dismiss the
officer."
