(b) whose appointment is subject to the approval of the
Secretary of State under Colonial Regulation 19.
(2) In the case of an officer to whom this regulation applies:
(a) no punishment shall be inflicted on the officer under
regulation 56, 57 or 58; and
(b)
the officer shall not be required to retire under regulation 59,
save with the prior approval of the Secretary of State."

I would be grateful for your comments on the proposed revision given in paragraph 4. Presumably the Secretary of State would need to authorise it? Please could you also let me know if you are aware of any other amendments which we have made to the Colonial Regulations.
