Resident Organizations

Proposal builds on the Kai Fong FC proposed by the
Chinese side.
Backbone of this new FC is the Mutual Aid
Committees (MACS), Owners' Corporations (OCs), and
Landlords/ Owners and Tenants Associations which
perform an important role in building management.
They also help to foster a sense of belonging
among the residents by supporting various
community campaigns (e.g. Fight Crime) organized
present, there are over 8000
by
Government.
At
such organizations; this number will increase in
the years to come.
In rural N.T., there are no MACS/OCS or similar
organizations.

Village
Village Representatives (VRS). At present, there
are
about 690 villages with about 900 VRS.
