Dear Mr Clarke,

April 7, 1993

Re:Visit to England

Thank you very much for your kind assistance in arranging for our forthcoming visit to England. I am now writing to furnish you with further details.

Three office holders of our Association will be coming. they

include:

(1) Frederick K. K. Fung, Chairman (Legislative Councillor) (2) K. C. Leung. Vice-chairman (Chairman of the Tsing Yi District

Board)

(3) Daniel Wong. Secretary (Urban Councillor)

We look forward to meeting the Prime Minister, Mr. John Major, the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Douglas Hurd and the F.C.o. Minister with Special Responsibility for Hong Kong, Mr. Alastair Goodlad.

We do hope to have the opportunities to share with them our concerna and also our proposal for a way out of the existing deadlock. The agenda we are going to bring up is as follows:

(1) To reflect the wish of the majority of Hong Kong people for

resumption of Sino-British talk as soon as possible; (2) to discuss the channels of consultation of Hong Kong people

throughout the Gino British negotiation process;

(3) To discuss the role of Hongkong representatives in the

forthcoming discussions between the Sino-British governments about Hong Kong; and

(4) To introduce our Association's Proposal on Political Reform.

As with the timing, we would like to propose for any time between 22nd and 27th of April, 1993. Our only consideration is the dates for motion debates in the Legislative Council in April.

Thank you once again for your kind attention and we look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

50

yours sincerely,

Fame Ci Cer Кет
