That any Sino-British agreement on the 1994-95 elections that betrays Hong Kong people's democratic aspirations will only make "one country, two systems" and "Hong Kong people ruling Hong Kong" an empty promise.
Hong Kong people have been deprived of information and the right to participation in the ongoing negotiations. Hong Kong people should have the right to take control of our own fate.
We demand that Governor Patten submit the proposals to the Legco for debate. Legco members should amend the proposal according to the Hong Kong people's will, that is, to enlarge democratic participation in Hong Kong. And then, finally, a referendum on the proposals should be held.
Lastly, we call on all Hong Kong people not to be afraid of brute force. Stand up and fight for democracy, and practice the spirit of "Hong Kong people ruling Hong Kong.
