determination of an election result;
(v)
enable the Commission to request from the
court a report on any matter relating to an
election petition; and
(vi)
make technical amendments consequent upon
the transfer of the power to make
regulations on electoral matters to the
Commission;
(b) to the Urban Council Ordinance (Cap. 101) and the
Regional Council Ordinance (Cap. 385) provide for the
declaration of the Urban Council area and the
Regional Council area respectively under those
Ordinances and require the Governor in Council in
making those declarations to have regard to
recommendations made by the Commission in relation to
the demarcation of constituency boundaries;
(c) to the District Boards Ordinance (Cap. 366) provide
that the total number of elected members of all the
District Boards shall not be substantially greater or
less than 338 and that
(i) the Governor in Council may declare the
number of Districts proposed to be declared
under section 3(1) of that Ordinance and
assign a name to each such proposed
District;
(ii)
in declaring District boundaries, the
Governor in Council must have regard to the
recommendations made by the Commission in
relation to the delineation of
constituencies for elections to the
District Boards; and
