Tenure of office of appointed members, and qualifications, etc.
Section 9 is amended
(a)
by repealing subsections (1) to (3);
(b)
in subsection (4) -
(i)
(ii)
(iii)
(iv)
by repealing everything before paragraph
(aa) and substituting
"(4) An ex officio member shall1
not be entitled to attend, take part
in or vote at any meeting of a Board
if he
by repealing paragraph (c);
in paragraph (f)
(A) by repealing "has, where the

appointment is to be made or is made"
and substituting "subject to paragraph
(a) has, where the office as an ex
officio member is to be held or is
held"; and
in subparagraph (v), by repealing the
full stop and substituting a
semicolon; and
by adding
"(g) subject to subsection (4A), fails
throughout a period of 6
consecutive months to attend any
meeting of the Board unless the
failure was due to some reason
approved by the Board prior to
