Interpretation
Section 2 of the District Boards Ordinance (Cap. 366) is
amended

(a)
(b)
by repealing the definition of "appointed member"; and
by adding
""ex officio member" means a person referred to in
section 6(1)(b);".
Composition of Board
Section 6 (1) is amended
(a) in paragraph (b), by repealing "9A" and substituting
"19"; and
(b) by repealing paragraph (c).
39.
Declaration of numbers of appointed
and elected members
Section 7(1) is amended by repealing "numbers of appointed
members and of elected members of a Board for the purposes of
section 6(1)(c) and (d), respectively" and substituting "number of
elected members of a Board for the purpose of section 6(1) (d)".
40.
Tenure of office of elected members
Section 8 is amended
(a)
(b)
in paragraph (a), by repealing "subject to paragraph
(aa), "; and
by repealing paragraph (aa).
