Legislative Timetable for 1994/95 Elections :
Steps to be taken in October 1993
Talks with the Chinese side on the 1994-95 electoral
arrangements are unlikely to conclude by October. Meanwhile,
the Boundary and Election Commission (BEC) would need to draw
up the constituency boundaries for the March 1995 Municipal
Council (MC) elections. Under the existing laws, this could
only be done on the basis of the existing number of elected
