Without knowing the final shave of detailed arrangements that might be agreed, We cannot say definitively how long each of these stages would take. But it is clear we are talking in terms of many months. So the legislative process has to be started as early as possible in the coming Legco session if we are to have the necessary legislation enacted in That is why, even if it were desirable (let feasible), splitting the DB from Legco electoral arrangements would gain us very little extra time.
