The District Boards Ordinance (Cap. 366) is amended
(a)
to abolish the appointed membership of the District.
Boards (clause 40);
(b) to make consequential revisions (clauses 41 to 43,
44 (a), (b) (i), (ii), (v) and (vi) and 45 to 49);
to make a further consequential amendment following
the enactment of the Boundary and Election Commission
Ordinance (clause 44 (b) (iii));
(c)
(a)
(e)
to relax disqualifications in respect of ex officio
members in the case of members of central and local
legislative organs of the People's Republic of China
(clause 44 (b) (iv)); and
to specify the quorum of the meetings of District
Boards following changes in their membership (clause
50).
