to specify the quorum of the meetings of the Council

The Regional Council Ordinance (Cap. 385) is amended
(a) to abolish the appointed membership of the Regional
Council (clause 26);

to make consequential revisions (clauses 28 to 30,
31 (a) (i), (ii), (v) and (vi) and (b) and 32 to 38); 31(a)
to make a further consequential amendment following
the enactment of the Boundary and Election Commission
Ordinance (clause 31(a) (iii));
to relax disqualifictions in respect of ex officio
members in the case of members of central and local
legislative organs of the People's Republic of China
(clause 31(a)(iv)); and
to specify the quorum of the meetings of the Council
following the change in its membership (clause 39).
