Amendment
(2) Where the Governor in Council makes an order amending or revoking an order made or deemed to be made under subsection (1), such first mentioned order may make such transitional provisions relating to such amendment or revocation as may be necessary or expedient.
(3) The Governor in Council shall, before making a declaration under subsection (1), have regard to the recommendations made under section 18(1)(b) of the Boundary and Election Commission Ordinance ( of 1993) in respect of an election referred to in section 17(h) of that Ordinance in the immediately preceding relevant report considered under section 22 of that Ordinance.
(4) Any order declaring any area in Hong Kong to be the Urban Council area and in force immediately before the commencement of this section shall be deemed to be made under subsection (1).”.
Regional Council Ordinance (Cap. 385)
(a) In section 2(1)—
(i) repeal the definition of “Regional Council area" and
substitute--
""Regional Council arca" means the area declared
as such under section $A(1);": (ii) in the definition of "Urban Council area" repeal "District Boards Ordinance" and substitute "Urban Council Ordinance (Cap. 101)";
(iii) add-

"SA. Declaration of Regional
Council area
(1) The Governor in Council may, by order published in the Gazette, by reference to Districts. declare any area in Hong Kong to be the Regional Council area.
(2) Where the Governor in Council makes an order amending or revoking an order made or deemed to be made under subsection (1), such first mentioned order may make such transitional provisions relating to such amendment or revocation as may be necessary or expedient.
(3) The Governor in Council shall, before making a declaration under subsection (1), have regard to the recommendations made under section 18(1)(b) of the Boundary and Election Commission Ordinance ( of 1993) in respect of an election referred to in section 17(c) of that Ordinance in the immediately preceding relevant report considered under section 22 of that Ordinance.
