BOUNDARY AND ELECTION COMMISSION BILL
(e) In section 3 add—
Amendment
under
"(IA) Before making a declaration subsection (1)(aa), (a), (b) or (c), the Governor in Council shall have regard to the recommendations made in the immediately preceding report considered under section 22 of the Boundary and Election Commission Ordinance ( of 1993), and which relates to the election in respect of which the declaration is made.".
(f) In section 5A(4) repeal "section 28" and substitute "section 7 of the Boundary and Election Commission Ordinance (of 1993)".
(g) In section 53(1)(b) repeal "section 28" and substitute "section 7 of the Boundary and Election Commission Ordinance ( of 1993)".
(h) In section SC(1) repeal “section 28" and substitute "section 7 of the Boundary and Election Commission Ordinance (of 1993)".
(1) In section 5H(1) and (2) repeal "section 28" and substitute "section 7 of the Boundary and Election Commission Ordinance ( of 1993)".
(j) In section 13(4)—-
(i) repeal "duties under this Ordinance" and substitute "functions or duties under this Ordinance or the Boundary and Election Commission Ordinance ( of 1993)";
(ii) repeal "of Hong Kong".
(A) Repeal section 17(a), (b), (c), (ƒ) and (g).

(/) In section 18(1) add the Boundary and Election
Commission Ordinance ( of 1993)” after “Ordinance". (m) In section 18 add--
"(3) A person shall not be validly nominated under subsection (1) as a candidate in an election unless he has lodged a deposit in such amount as prescribed by regulations made under section 28 and in such manner as prescribed by regulations made under section 7 of the Boundary and Election Commission Ordinance ( of 1993).”.
(n) In section 19(1) add-

"(ea) is disqualified under section 12 of the Boundary and Election Commission Ordinance ( 1993);".
(0) Repeal section 23(1) and (1A) and substitute-
"(1) The Boundary and Election Commission shall-
(a) for the purposes of an election in any constituency in respect of the Legislative Council, the Urban Council or the Regional Council, as regards each constituency concerned; or
(b) for the purposes of an election in respect of a District Board, as regards each District concerned,
