1. The Minister has seen your submission of 8 December. He agrees the draft line for use by News Department in response to enquiries about Sir P Cradock's criticisms made before the FAC on 8 December. He also agrees that Mr Culshaw should use the line in unattributable briefing with Diplomatic Correspondents. I have forewarned News Department.
