MIPT: FAC VISIT TO CHINA
1. We should be grateful to know deskby 09010OZ which Chinese Leaders received the FAC delegation which came here in April 1989. We do not have 1989 files, and our check of Xinhua reveals only a meeting with an NPC Standing Committee Vice-Chairman, Liao Hansheng. If they were received at a higher level then, it may strengthen our case for their seeing (as well as Qian Qichen) Qiao Shi, Zhu Rongji, Li Peng, Jiang Zemin or Li Langing.
2. Can we drop the names of any other foreign leaders who have seen the FAC recently?
I am calling on the Chairman of the NPC's FAC on the afternoon of 9 October.
