Many thanks for your letter of 17 December and your sincere efforts to produce a compromise formula on the 'no unilateral legislation' point. We accept it. We have added it also to the end of para 43 on our master copy of the White Paper, replacing the text in para 3 of his letter of 15 December.
2. We have also amended para 41 of the paper in the way suggested by Peter in para 2 of that same letter.
