QUEEN'S SPEECH ON THE OPENING OF PARLIAMENT
I attach an extract from the draft of the Queen's Speech on the opening of Parliament covering the legislation in which the Lord Chancellor has an interest. I am copying this letter to the Private Secretaries of all Ministers who have offered contributions with the appropriate attachments. I should be very grateful if you and copy recipients could confirm by close of play on Thursday 21 October that you are content with the wording. The draft speech will be considered by FLG at its next meeting and circulated to the Cabinet
Cabinet for approval shortly
thereafter.
