date of publication (ie: "Farm Diversification Scheme", published 15
May 1987); for White Papers the title, date of publication and Cmnd
No (ie: "Intellectual Property and Innovation", published 15 April
1986. Cm 9712). All the above should be shown in the main text
and NOT as a footnote.

Ministers are accorded the title Mr/Mrs/Miss etc when referred to by
name
there is consistency in the notes prepared when referring to Britain,
Great Britain, UK, HMG, the Government, we/our etc
acronyms and abbreviations are set out in full when they first occur
(ie: The General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE))
