香港總督府
GOVERNMENT HOUSE
HONG KONG
4 February, 1993
Dear John.
Mr Morris,
See note about Cunningham
ducklish
Thank you for your letter dated 1 February.
I might not have made myself too clear at our meeting on 28 January. What I did say was that there had been some direct correspondence via telegrams between Hong Kong and the FCO regarding the visits of Dr. Jack Cunningham and FAC, rather than direct correspondence with them. I attach herewith copies of the latest telegrams for your information please.
I am grateful for the discussion we had in your office and for the invitation to your reception at Cowley Street. I enjoyed both occasions very much. I look forward to receiving the draft programme being put up by your office for the Governor's visit in April.
Please also convey my thanks to David for the very enjoyable lunch he gave me. I am indeed tempted to apply for membership in the Royal Overseas League Club.
